What is New Growth ™ Energy Healing?

It is a focused method to eliminate energy blocks in the unconscious mind and other deeper metaphysical levels which may be holding a person back from unfolding their health and their true spiritual and life potential.

Karma, cultural programming, and other obsolete patterns generally work at these deeper levels rather than at the level of the conscious mind. New Growth ™ is designed to help the motivated individual get rid of the deeper blocks and obsolete patterns.

It is a fast-track system meant for those people who are not so much concerned about what the deep inner block or pattern might be but who are concerned about getting rid of it quickly and thoroughly so that they might move on with their true life direction constructively.

.

How does it work?

Once both conscious (verbal) permission and unconscious permission are obtained, a dialogue is established with the deep inner level being worked with. The dialogue begins with establishing the client's connection to his/her highest inner dimension, that part of the person which connects to Source. This is necessary to ensure the process works for the client's highest and best good.

For clients just starting out, the dialogue begins with the complex mental structure usually known as the unconscious mind. For highly motivated clients who have had several sessions the dialogue usually takes place at a variety of deeper levels including what is often call the soul level in Western society.

Regardless of the level, the practitioner works as an interactive guide, "discussing" the next step of growth with the client and assisting the client in taking that next step if that's what the client wishes. The individual at a conscious or unconscious level always has the final say as to whether to take the next step.

How many subconscious levels are there?

In broad terms there are two categories we work with in New Growth ™, the unconscious mind and the deeper levels, although each of these two categories subdivide quickly into other distinct areas.

The unconscious mind is the "shallower" and by far the more complex of the two major categories. It tends to be fairly mechanical, and its many tentacles are well-anchored in the physical aspects of a person. It is not only the unconscious repository of past-life karma but also the "place" where physically-conditioned learning like walking and riding a bicycle take place.

Among its many convoluted byways are the unconscious regulation of the various processes in a person's physical body like breathing and digestion of food. The unconscious mind has no inherent spiritual wisdom of its own and its decision-making capabilities tend to derive from the conditioning received in earlier times of a person's life or past lives. These decisions may or may not be in the best interests of a person's total being as an incarnate spiritual entity.

The ego personality of a person is inextricably bound and interlaced within the myriad structures of the unconscious mind and, indeed, seems to form the boundaries of the unconscious mind in my experience.

That brings us to the second category of subconscious structures, what may be loosely termed the deeper levels (Okay, okay. Some of you spiritual seekers would likely call these higher levels -- remember a rose by any other name smells just as sweet.)

To go to a person's deepest dimensions and approach what is called the soul and the spark of the Divine which created that soul requires leaving the ego (and the unconscious mind defined by the ego) behind. That is the division between the two categories.

Some people are in an incarnation to take this journey and others will arrive at such an incarnation in the future. Like an onion, there are many layers to peel back. To my great surprise, as this gift unfolded before me over a period of years, I discovered that it is at these deeper levels that we find the roots of cultural programming.

To free ourselves from the "oughts", "shoulds", and "musts" of cultural programming requires leaving the ego behind and taking the great journey within. The length of time required varies depending on the person. Eventually enough of the cultural programming is shed, and we arrive at out divine core, our essence, and our dharma, our right path.

Some are ready for this deeper journey, some are not as yet. Either way, that's fine. Eventually we will all come into the incarnation where we will go to our true core. New Growth ™ is designed for those who are not only ready for this deeper journey beyond the ego to the soul and its divine essence, but wish to do it in the most no-nonsense timely fashion possible. A high level of emotional, mental, and spiritual maturity is required.

.

Is this dialogue with the subconscious done with words?

Only at the beginning of a session. At the beginning the client verbally identifies a starting spot, usually something in a client's life in the now which is bothering the client, although something very positive can also be used.

A sentence or two generally suffices, but my experience is that often people seem inclined to elaborate for more than that. The elaboration actually isn't necessary for New Growth ™ to work properly (and in some cases actually gets in the way). Once the starting spot is established verbally, then the dialogue with the deeper levels takes place, and it is non-verbal.

.

How is the non-verbal dialogue done?

That depends of the level being worked with. For the Byzantine labyrinth we call the unconscious mind, the dialogue takes place with (catch your breath here) hand motions.

That's not as weird as it seems, if you stop to consider body language for a moment. With body language, a person's unconscious mind can bypass the conscious mind and express an opinion with a physical movement. We have all seen situations where a person may say one thing in words (pleasant happy words) and simultaneously indicate something quite different with body positions (frown, crossed arms, hunched shoulders).

Well, if the unconscious mind can communicate to the outer world with physical motions, then could someone in the outer world use physical motions to communicate with the unconscious mind? Turns out the answer is yes, and it also turns out that a series of complex hand motions will do the job nicely. (It took several years to figure out exactly how that is done.)

An enormous amount of healing can be achieved by this, but eventually the boundary of the unconscious mind, the ego personality, is arrived at, and there is a sense of something more needing to be done.

To go past that boundary into the deeper levels requires a change in technique in addition to the conscious permission of the client. The complex dialogue of hand motions slows down and simplifies to a simple offering by the practitioner (via the motions) to assist in the next step forward in the deeper level.

Often there is an energy pattern on the practitioner's hands which reflects the internal process inside the client. Subtle hand movements facilitate the communication process. The process involves methodically letting go and releasing the attachments of ego and cultural programming so that the individual can gradually approach their True Self in a loving accepting manner.

As the attachments are released one by one, the client is given the opportunity to accept a direct connection with Source as a replacement. The archetypes we travel through are wisdom, discernment, compassion, unconditional love, strength, detachment, and grace (in that order) as often as may be necessary.

The deeper levels involve the client learning two key skills: matter ascending and spirit descending. The client learns to allow the imperative of his/her own physical being to move toward Source while simultaneously allowing Source to reach down and connect with his/her physical being.

This allows Source to work through an individual. Once the connection takes place, then the next step is to keep the connection in place. That is the point at which dharma manifests. This process takes time which is why the full cycle of 12 appointments is suggested for those wishing to work at this deeper level.

.

Is there any hypnosis or regression involved?

Absolutely none. In fact, I insist clients keep their eyes open and remain awake and alert through an entire session. The idea is to avoid conscious contact with the clutter from the past. New Growth ™ does that by working at a very deep level very fast so there is no time for the past clutter to surface. It is eliminated and replaced with connection to Source virtually instantly.

.

But don't I have to consciously know what happened to correct it?

In traditional therapy, yes. But this is not therapy. New Growth ™ is designed for people who have graduated from therapy and no longer have or want to have any ego attachment to their past.

New Growth ™ is intended for people whose life experience has brought them to the realization that the learning which needs to take place to heal the past need only be done at the deep level where the problem exists.

To be blunt, the conscious mind simply is not equipped to delve into or deal with the deeper and more profound levels of mind and/or existence where many of the old problems often reside. This is why verbal therapy so often leaves individuals feeling the job is incomplete.

The deep inner cleansing is best done at the deep level where the problem is located without the interference of the conscious ego-based mind which only slows and clutters up the process. New Growth ™ gives the learning and healing at the deep level and spares the conscious mind the grief of re-experiencing the perhaps unpleasant past a second time.

If you've had the suffering and trauma once; do you need it a second time? No. Let it go painlessly and move on. That's what New Growth ™ is about. For many people this is a new way of looking at spiritual and personal growth.

.

Will I notice any difference in my life?

Yes. But the change will sneak up on you when you least expect it, and it usually takes a few days after a session to notice it. The change is not a epiphany experience. Quite the opposite.

New Growth ™ is designed for the spiritually mature people who have outgrown the need for fireworks of any sort, positive or negative. This is called equanimity.

What people notice at first is a very deep sense of being relaxed and at peace. That's nice enough right there. But what surprises people the most is what is NOT there. One day individuals become aware that things in their life which used to bother them or get them irritated no longer bother them at all.

In fact, they find themselves becoming quite neutral to the things in life which once used to get them angry, upset, or excited. Difficult people become easy to deal with.

One of the delights my clients all seem to have is telling of the difficult person (often a family member) who finally has stopped pushing their buttons because there is now no longer any response from the client. Imagine going to a family reunion and not getting grossed out! It is now possible.

Gradually a sense of peaceful detachment enters a person's life. Individuals still live their lives (working the same job, etc), but project a sense of tranquility to the world.

Often after several sessions, clients find people in their lives spontaneously asking them what the positive change is all about. In a nutshell: by the end of the full 12-session cycle you will have the inner peace necessary to understand why the Buddha is smiling, and you will know it consciously.

Those of a more metaphysical bent should know that it is routine for a person's aura to change. (The aura is the low-level metaphysical "glow" which surrounds everyone and often is an indicator of inner deeper spiritual configurations.)

The Kirilian photographs below are illustrative of the change in aura. Note that the lady is a serious practitioner of yoga so her "before" photographs actually look pretty good.

.

Is the change permanent?

You have free choice. If you want the change to be permanent, it is. Very often clients find it difficult to go back to the old obsolete ways of doing things even if they tried.

.

How many appointments are required?

I ask that new clients commit to three one-hour appointments to get the initial momentum of change up.

For some people those first three appointments look after their needs. For others, it's a door opening to a longer process of shedding the past so the true Inner Self can manifest. For such clients a commitment to an additional nine appointments apart finishes the full cycle. This full cycle of 12 sessions brings substantial positive change into an individual's life, stripping away karma and liberating one's free choice from the cultural programming and density of the past.

The time frame for completing the 12-appointment cycle varies from person to person depending individual situations but the typical time frame is about 14 or 15 months.

After those 12 sessions are completed, the individual goes through a six-month processing time, which happily requires no work on the client's part. Once that six months is complete, a final single mopping-up appointment seals in the work permanently.

.

How fast does this work?

As fast as your inner dimensions are willing to work, and that is very fast indeed. For someone who has completed the initial three sessions, emotional crises which can often leave a person feeling "splat like a bug against a windshield" are usually defused into tranquility a single one-hour appointment. This is particularly useful for people undergoing the massive energy shifts which a Uranus transit in their astrological charts brings.

However, New Growth ™ is not “instant enlightenment”. Be careful of your cultural programming for instant gratification here. As far as I know “instant enlightenment” simply does not exist. Having said that, there is no need for slow, painful suffering, either.

Those who have had trauma once their life do not need to re-experience it a second time to heal it. This is a new idea. Some grasp it more quickly than others. It flies in the face of the "no pain, no gain" school of thought. But then a lot of what I do flies in the face of "conventional" thinking. I'm not married to obsolete ways of doing things.

The idea of the great inner journey is to learn our lessons, shed the density, and get on with our dharma. New Growth ™ is designed to allow you to do just that quickly, easily and painlessly. This means you can cut to the chase, your dharma. And as for your dharma, make your peace with some reality:   dharma is a life-long endeavour.

.

Are there any pre-requisites?

A few. Sincerity, maturity, and a high level of motivation. It helps if you've tried one or more of the conventional personal growth systems so you have a yardstick by which to measure New Growth ™.

Since this is a fast-track system, it's a good idea to know ahead of time what your comfort level is regarding the pace of personal change and growth.

I rountinely do a pro forma examination of a person's natal astrological chart before their name goes on the waiting list to ensure the individual has a metaphysical energy system capable of handling the rapid change New Growth ™ entails. With accurate birth data, this takes less than five minutes and can be done over the phone. Fortunately about 95% of the population is fine, but if any astrological flags are raised, I do discuss them in detail with the individual before they start the appointments.

If on your own you are unsure about whether you like fast or slow growth, I always recommend that you try one of the slower methods first to gain experience. There are an abundance of slow methods of personal growth throughout the world. You'll have no trouble finding one which suits you.

If you like stopping to smell the flowers, try a slow system. If you've never tried any personal growth, then by all means start slowly.

And if you have no idea what I'm talking about, then by all means enter into personal growth one careful step at a time with a slow system. There is no rush here if you're starting out. You have as long as you wish and as many lifetimes as you wish.

A fast-track system, such as this one, isn't meant for everyone. It's meant for those experienced souls who've tried all sorts of other things and are still chomping at the bit.

While I am a confirmed pacifist, there is a story (perhaps apocryphal) about a famous naval battle which illustrates my point:

The beginning of the American civil war saw the battle of the Monitor and the Merrimac, the first two iron-clad warships.

It was a long and difficult battle with cannons roaring and guns blazing throughout the day. Little progress was being made by either ship.

In the heat of this furious battle the first officer of one of the boats came to his captain and said: "Sir, they are now firing torpedoes at us!"

Without pausing, the captain replied:

"Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead."

If you're attitude toward personal and spiritual growth is to press on regardless of the circumstances, then New Growth ™ is an option you'll want to consider.

.

What are the age requirements?

The minimum age for starting New Growth ™ is 15 years, although a 14-year-old who has completed the transit which astrologers call first Saturn opposition can be considered. It is also important that the young person must be open to this *very* unconventional approach. Some are, some aren't. Be respectful of the young person's view of the world. Their judgement may or may not be your judgement for this, and that's okay. Regardless, note that minors must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult in an appointment.

The maximum age for New Growth ™ was set by World War II, and the savage energy imprint it left on those exposed to the war experience. No one I have met anywhere in the world who was alive during that war survived without being energetically and metaphysically scarred for life. This is true even for those who were alive in the Western Hemisphere where no active combat took place. The energy of the war contaminated the entire world population.

For instance, my experience with persons born from 1940 to 1945 is that they have had, politely, a very difficult time with the twelve appointments. Based on this experience I now discourage this age group from doing the appointments because the 12-appointment journey may do them more harm than good.

And to those born before 1940, I wish you Godspeed on your journey and suggest you gently prepare in the years remaining in this life so that you may do your rapid growth in a future incarnation when your soul has had a chance to heal from the war experience. There's no rush. We all have as many lifetimes as we may want or require to do whatever it is we need to get done.

Will New Growth ™ help cure physical problems?

Please understand New Growth ™ is not a substitute for qualified professional health care. It is in addition to such care. If you have a health problem, see your health care professional first. Period. Full stop.

Having said that, if your motivation is to restore your health, then what New Growth ™ can do is dramatically improve the effectiveness of the other health care modalities you may be using. New Growth ™ works at the causal levels of health: emotional, mental, and spiritual. When those ducks are in a row, physical health bounces back quickly.

.

What's the difference between New Growth ™ and Reiki?

They are complementary modalities, but there are key differences. Reiki is a healing energy which flows through the practitioner to the client. It is a passive system in that there is no intent on the part of the practitioner to do anything other than be a smooth conduit through which the Reiki energy may flow to the client from the highest dimensions. Likewise, the client consciously simply accepts the energy allowing the client's higher dimensions to route the Reiki to where ever it is best used.

By contrast, New Growth ™ is pro-active rather than passive. New Growth ™ engages the client in a metaphysical dialogue to work on specific issues identified by the client at the beginning of the session. After establishing the client's personal inner connection to Source, the dialogue could take place on any one or more of several deep metaphysical levels, and the client is encouraged to take such steps forward as the client is comfortable with.

Nonetheless, both New Growth ™ and Reiki require complete sets of permission, including both verbal and the deeper nonverbal metaphysical permissions to be effective.

Where did you come up with New Growth ™ ?

Experience, experience, experience. It has been a lifelong journey. The foundations were laid long ago in my own personal journey out of the swamp of density. (Yes, I know, swamps are politically correct now, but it's such a graphic figure of speech.)

I daresay anyone in the alternative health field has their own story of a personal health crises which was and is the motivating event behind their endeavours. Mine was a rare back condition. But once on the road back to health, I discovered that the lessons I had learned from it I was able to share with others, and others were interested in the learning.

Eventually I was ready to be taught New Growth ™, although I didn't realize it at the time. My teacher was a dog named Bronson. Click here for that story. Since then as one client led to the next, each has taught me something more I didn't know before.

Often enough what would happen was that a client would repeat the Bronson pattern:   a problem would be presented, and I would try to help using my existing tool kit but there would be only limited success. At that point, remembering my lessons from Bronson, I'd get out “the silk hat and the rabbits”, a favourite phrase of mine to describe winging it. Just go with whatever presents itself and see what happens.

Then check, double check it, and triple check it. Some of the new things worked, some didn't. While New Growth ™ Energy Healing is today a fairly mature modality, the process of ongoing growth still continues as new developments continue to be presented to me.

There's an old saying from the Canadian territory of Yukon:

"You gotta pan a lotta gravel
to find a nugget of gold."

By panning the gravel and keeping the nuggets of gold over enough years, this modality emerged.

Not that I've been working alone over all these years. Far from it. I've worked with large numbers of practitioners in a wide variety of alternative health modalities, learning important and valuable lessons from all of them which I've integrated into my work. They are too numerous to mention here, but I am grateful to them all. You know who you are.

And I have learned how important it is that the various modalities learn to work in harmony together. So often I have seen a mix of modalities work where any single modality would fail. Much of my work involves modality mixing.

Why is New Growth ™ only available in the Toronto area?

Well, first of all, that's where I live and work. So far this system works best in person. While some forms of energy healing, like Second Degree Reiki, can be done over a distance, my experience so far with New Growth ™ is that it is most effective when both practitioner and client are in the same room. Perhaps a long distance variation will develop (who knows?) in the future, but for now it's limited to those who live or travel to Southern Ontario (that's where Toronto is located).
