The precis The story about the writing of The Return of the Pleiadians is actually three stories. Why the story behind the story? Because only books about zen happen in a void. And I've had a few requests along the lines of, does an unusual book like this have an unusual story behind it? Judge for yourself. It all began back in late 2001 with a little piece of freeware I happened to download off the internet. That little piece of freeware was the catalyst to create the lead character, Andrew. Click here to read how a love of purple and an internet perl script brought about a hero and some lessor lights. The internet computer program was fun while it lasted. Andrew and a few other interesting characters wound up on my hard drive. But then the story went dormant for a couple of years. No reason presented itself to proceed any further, so I went off to live my life. At this point there was no story. That changed very suddenly when the discovery of a new planet was announced in early 2004. I do astrology, and the discovery of a new planet is always a major event for astrologers. This new planet Sedna turned out to be a very big deal for me. It kicked open a whole new view of the world. Click here for that story. So now the stage was set. A few colourful characters hibernating on my hard drive, and a new planet expanding my consciousness. What happened next? A friendly suggestion from a colleague catalyzed the situation into a terrific idea for a book. That was when it happened. The story got written. In three weeks. And guess what? That's a story, too. So click here for the story about the writing of the story. In case you haven't figured it out yet, I love telling stories, which is why I'm already working on the next book in the 2012 Saga.
